The Greater Dallas County Development Alliance recently raised a lot of money for a good local cause.
The non-profit organization recently held its “2nd Annual Greater Dallas County Development Alliance Golf Outing,” at the Raccoon River Valley Golf Course in Adel and they raised over $6,000 for the Dallas County Conservation Board. Conservation Director Mike Wallace was on hand to receive the check and says that this money will go directly towards their Raccoon Valley Trail to High Trestle Trail Connector Project. Wallace tells Raccoon Valley Radio that his money puts them one step ahead of completing the project.
“We’re doing, um, the next to the last phase this summer. And we’ve got the last phase scheduled for next summer. And we still could use a couple of pennies, but we’re pretty much on track. On schedule, Yes.”
Wallace also thanked the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance for donating to their project. He plans on the project being completed in the year of 2024.
