The ADM Tigers softball team picked up nice 12-4 win over the Storm Lake Tornadoes in the second round of the Class 4A – Region 2 Bracket last night in Adel. The ADM Tigers had a total of eleven hits in the game. The ADM Tigers scored eight runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to help them secure the win. Senior Tess Boorn went 2-3 with a single and a extra base hit and had three runs batted in. Junior Makayla Crannell  went 2-4 with two singles and came into score two of the twelve runs. Junior Kaylee Smith went 2-3 with one run batted in. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn picked up her eleventh win of the season as she pitched all seven innings  on the night with seven strikeouts, to improve her pitching record to 11-8 on the season.

This win for the ADM Tiger softball will put them at 23-12 overall record on the season and also advance them to the Class 4A -Region 2 Region Championship game, where they will travel to Dallas Center to take on the DCG Mustangs on Tuesday July 11th with winner to punch their ticket to the Class 4A State Softball Tournament in Fort Dodge, Iowa, which will start on Monday July 17th and runs through Friday July 21st. The next ADM Tiger softball broadcast on K1079 – KKRF and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will be Tuesday July when they take on the DCG Mustangs in the Class 4A – Region 2 Regional Championship game with 7:00 pm first pitch.
