A reminder that a special event is happening today in central and eastern Greene County. 

The 3rd Annual Bike Ride Around Greene County (BRAG) is about a 40 mile loop that starts and ends in Jefferson, with several stops along the way.  Participants will start at the Welcome Center in Jefferson, then head to 30 Yard Line in Grand Junction, along with a water stop in Dana, followed by 209 Main Restaurant in Paton, the Lakeside National Golf Course and finish at Doc’s Stadium in Jefferson.

Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich reminds motorists that there will be bicyclists on Highway 144, a portion of the Lincoln Highway to the east of Jefferson, and County Road P-33. Bicyclists will also be making stops at those designated locations, so motorists should be aware of some occasional bike traffic happening today.

The event will last all day and if bicyclists need assistance, there will be a sag wagon to help.
