The Greene County baseball team should be well rested for tomorrow night’s Class 3A Substate 2 baseball quarterfinal vs. second ranked North Polk on the home field of the Comets in Alleman. Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams have not played since June 28 and will enter Friday’s contest with a 3-21 record. The Comets were 24-4  prior to a July 5 contest vs. Indianola.

Greene County is preparing for a hard throwing NP pitching staff. The Rams have had some offensive issues at times this season as a team batting average below .195 and one home run indicates. The Comets have a team .296 batting average with eight homers.
