Not only will the Perry softball team have a two hour, one way bus trip tonight, but the Jayettes will have to deal with a strong softball team in Storm Lake.  The Tornadoes and Jayettes will clash in a rare softball showdown tonight in a 7:00 4A Regional opener from Northwest Iowa.

The winner of tonight’s game will take on ADM Saturday.  The Tigers earned the two seed in 4A Region 2.

Perry will try to shake a late season slide and start fresh in the postseason.  The Jayettes dropped nine of their last eleven games to close out the season after a strong start to the year.  Perry fell to Pella Monday night 15-6 in the regular season finale.

Storm Lake enters with a mark of 21-4 with two of the losses coming to powerhouse Estherville Lincoln Central.  Storm Lake’s last game was back on June 28th.  The Tornadoes compete in the five team Lakes Conference.
