2023-cram-the-cab-donation

The Greene County Farm Bureau recently ended its annual fundraiser for the local food pantry.

The local Farm Bureau donated $1,654 to the Greene County Action Resource Center in Jefferson through its Cram the Cab Food Drive. The week-long event happened June 12th-17 at Jefferson Fareway, where people rounded up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar, purchasing pre-packaged bags of non-perishable food items, and giving financial donations, including from Kim Tjepkes, the financial services agent with the county Farm Bureau.

Greene County Farm Bureau board members delivered 31 bags of food, along with the check donation to ARC. Reuter’s Red Power also donated one of its tractors that was in the Fareway parking lot during the fundraiser, with the goal of filling its cab.
