During the 4th of July holiday weekend, law enforcement in Dallas County responded to a number of fireworks complaints.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to six complaints about fireworks from July 1st through the 4th which Sheriff Adam Infante said was an abnormally low number.

Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn said they received eight phone calls of complaints about fireworks over the period of July 1st through July 4th and he mentioned that was a decrease from the previous years. According to the Adel Police Department, they responded to 13 calls that were concerned about fireworks from the same time frame.
