The ADM Tigers softball team got shutout on the road road last night, as the they got shutout by Southeast Polk 4-0. The ADM Tigers were only allowed one hit in the game. Junior Kaylee Smith had the lone hit on the night going 1-6 with a single. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn pitched all six innings and took the loss, which will put her pitching record to record to 10-8 on the season, while striking out six Southeast Polk batters on the night, to give her a 145 strikeouts on the season, which ranks her currently in 16th in strikeouts in Class 4A softball in Iowa.
This loss for the ADM Tigers softball team will put them at a 22-12 overall record and 11-5 in the Raccoon River Conference on the season. The ADM Tiger softball team ended up getting the number four seed in the Class 4A-Region 2 Bracket, which was released over a week ago. The ADM Tigers earned a first round bye. The ADM Tigers softball team will host either Storm Lake or Perry in the Second Round on Saturday July 8th at the ADM High School Softball Field with 7:00 pm first pitch and the winner of that game will be playing in the Class 4A-Region 2 Championship game on Tuesday July 11th at 7:00 pm to punch a ticket to head to Class 4A State Softball Tournament. The next ADM Tiger softball broadcast on K1079 FM – KKRF and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will be this Saturday July 8th, the ADM Tigers softball team will host either Storm Lake or Perry in the Second Round at the ADM High School Softball Field with 7:00 pm first pitch.
