Monday, July 3rd

2:14am: A caller advised of a Suspicious Male walking around the area of the square. The officer did not locate the subject.

4:36am: Danene Pena reported a car alarm sounding in the area of 100 Ram Drive. The officer patrolled the area, but did not locate anything.

5:27am: A caller advised of a vehicle in the grass at 101 Ram Drive. The officer located the unoccupied vehicle. The vehicle had been damaged, disabling it. The officer contacted the registered owner and learned the vehicle had been taken without his permission. The officer has suspects in the matter and is investigating.

9:55am: Kathryn Batton reported a Stray Dog in the 1100 Block of McDuffie Drive. The animal was not located.

1:32pm: An officer executed a Juvenile Pick-Up Order in the 300 Block of South Olive Street. A 13-year-old male was picked up and transported to the LEC. He was later transported by Juvenile Transport.

3:38pm: Bruce Kerns requested a Welfare Check on a child at 404 North Vine Street. The subject and the mother were not at home.

5:19pm: Kelsey Reed reported her juvenile son had run away from their residence after a dispute. He was located later in the evening.

9:58pm: Mark Cranston reported fireworks in the 500 Block of South Cedar Street.

Tuesday, July 4th

1:00am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The business was secure.

6:45am: Wendy Knick requested a Welfare Check on a neighbor at 206 East McKinley. The officer did not make contact with anyone at the residence and found nothing suspicious.

5:02pm: The Urbandale PD requested assistance from an officer in locating a vehicle, believed to be in Jefferson, which had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident in Urbandale. The officer did not locate the vehicle in Jefferson.

6:22pm: Sherry Finley reported a male suspect dressed in black, carrying a paintball gun in the 100 Block of South Grimmell Road. The officer checked the area, but did not locate anyone.

9:01pm: Jessica Chrystal requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 700 Block of West Sunset Road. The officer spoke to the subject, who was fine.

9:18pm: Janon Olson reported fireworks in the 600 Block of west McKinley Street.

9:20pm: Pat Schiltz reported fireworks in the 800 Block of West Harrison Street.

9:59pm: Sealeana Smith reported a vehicle driving without headlights on South Elm Street.

11:43pm: Amelia Burnie requested assistance with an unruly juvenile at 300 East State Street. The officer transported the juvenile to the ER to be evaluated by a doctor.
