Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity is looking for some help in Guthrie County for some of their projects.
Executive Director Ron Christensen says that they need a project construction manager for some of the repair projects that they are doing and looking to do. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that for the most part, anyone that is looking at the position would just need to be someone who can be a good leader for the volunteers and help make sure things run smoothly.
“They won’t even need to necessarily have construction knowledge. Because really what it’s about is making sure that the work that’s being done is being done safely and that people aren’t doing things that could get somebody hurt on the job and that kind of thing.”
Christensen mentions that Habitat for Humanity has some training programs that individuals can take part in as well to help them know more about the job and what they need to do. He says that while there are plenty of volunteers, they will always accept help from more. For those wishing to volunteer to help, and those interested in the project construction manager position, contact Christensen via one of the means listed in this story online.
