Greene County head baseball coach Kyle Stalder realizes a big challenge lies ahead for his team when the Rams open Class 3A Substate 2 action in Alleman vs. North Polk this Friday night. The Comets are 23-4 and ranked number 2 in Class 3A while the Rams are 3-19.

A complete team, Coach Stalder talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the NP pitching staff, which has more than one hard thrower. “We know North Polk’s one through three on the mound average in the mid to upper 80’s, so we’ve been trying to get the guys accustomed to that speed. We understand how good they are, but we’re ready to go down there and give them a game.”
