Stuart Chamber of Commerce President Katie Adams is adding a new title to her repertoire to help the Chamber; tour guide.

Adams attended the professional guide training workshop hosted by Iowa State University Extension Tourism Specialist Diane Van Wyngarden early this year, and recently received her professional guide certification by giving a guided tour in Stuart. Each candidate starts by attending the workshop at their local Extension and Outreach, and finishes with the final certification process, which is conducted at each individual’s place of work.

Adams says she took the class because she wanted to add one more thing to the list of what she can offer as the Chamber President to the city of Stuart, and this seemed like a fun way to do it.
