The AC/GC Chargers softball team was in action Wednesday night, as they traveled to Earlham to take on the Cardinals in some varsity doubleheader action. In the first game, both teams were scoreless in the first inning, before the Chargers grabbed two runs in the second. The Cardinals picked up 4 runs in the third, and one in the fourth, and both teams scored a run in the sixth, and the Chargers fell 6-3 in a close game.

The second game was a little different, as AC/GC picked up a run in the first, while allowing 5, then grabbed another while allowing 2 more for Earlham in the second inning. The Cardinals tallied a run in the third, and both teams put up a run in the fifth, but the Chargers allowed 2 final runs in the sixth, and fell 11-3 in the second game.

The softball team returns to action tonight, as they host the Southwest Valley Timberwolves in Class 2A Region 3 action.
