The Stuart Library is ready for all the fun July events that are planned.

To start the month off, the Library will actually be closed from the 1st through the 4th to observe Independence Day. After that though, Mary McColloch from the library says they’ll be ready to hold their events. At 3:30pm on July 6th, she mentions that the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension will be holding a “Drones at the Library” program.

“The kids will actually get to fly the drones. And the drones are small, and so they’ll just be able to use the tablet and program the drone to fly around the library.”

McColloch adds that on July 10th at 1pm, there will be a children’s health fair to help teach different ways to stay healthy, and then on the 13th Stuart Police Sergeant Katie Guisinger will be in the library for a special princesses and superheroes themed Books and Badges, where the children will be able to dress up as princesses and superheroes.
