Wednesday, June 28th

12:40am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of North Cedar Street and East Central Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Khane Smith of Paton was issued citations for “Violation of an Instruction Permit” and “Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability”

1:57am: An anonymous male spoke with an Officer regarding questions over a civil property dispute. The Officer assisted in the situation.

9:01am: Arlene Johnson of Jefferson reported seeing smoke in the 300 block of East Vest Street. An Officer checked the area and found a small, contained, yard waste burn at a nearby residence.

5:15pm: Alisa Timms of Temple, Texas requested a welfare check on a male who was believed to be living in Jefferson. The check was completed and the male was not in need of assistance.

5:54pm: Jessica Ryan of Jefferson spoke with an Officer regarding child custody issues. The Officer documented the information as requested.

7:01pm: Charles Heimer of Jefferson requested a welfare check on a female in the 400 block of North Chestnut Street. The Officer completed the check and the female was not in need of assistance.

8:39pm: An anonymous male spoke with an Officer regarding questions over a civil property dispute. The Officer assisted in the situation.

9:06pm: Hayleigh Riviera of Jefferson reported a stray dog running loose in the 300 block of South Elm Street. The Officer responded and found the dog had been picked up by its owner.

11:17pm: Chey Anne Exline reported she had been assaulted by her father in the 300 block of East Harrison Street. As a result of the Officer’s investigation, Anthony Joseph Nunez was placed under arrest for “Assault – Simple”
