The ADM Tiger Softball team picked up 4-1 Raccoon River Conference road win over the Winterset Huskies last night in Winterset. The ADM Tigers Softball team only had four total hits on the night. Junior MaKayla Crannell went 1-3 with a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give herself her second home run of the season. Senior Addison Banse and Freshman Lauren both went 1-4 with getting a single a piece. Senior Kaylee Smith went 1-2 with a single and driving in two runs on the night. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn pitched five solid innings and improved her record to 10-4 on the season while striking out three Winterset batters. Lauren Hagedorn is currently ranks in 11th place in the the Class 3A Strikeout category with her 134 strikeouts on the season.

This win for the ADM Tiger Softball team will put them at a 22-8 overall record and 11-4 in the Raccoon River Conference record on the season. The ADM Tigers softball team will be right back at it tonigth when they host the Carlisle Wildcats in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup at the ADM High School Softball Fied.  Tomorrow, the ADM Tigers will play two games at the DCG Classic. In their first game they will play the Ankenny Centennial Jaguars at 12:45 pm and they will play their second and final game of the against the Indianola Indians at 4:15 pm first pitch. The next ADM Tiger softball broadcast on K1079 FM – KKRF and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will be tonight when they host the Carlisle Wildcats in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup at the ADM High School Softball Field with a 7:30 pm first pitch.

The ADM Tiger softball team ended up getting the number four seed in the Class 4A-Region 2 Bracket, which was released last week. The ADM Tigers earned a first round bye. The ADM Tigers softball team will host either Storm Lake or Perry in the Second Round on Saturday July 8th at the ADM High School Softball Field with 7:00 pm first pitch and the winner of that game will be playing in the Class 4A-Region 2 Championship game on Tuesday July 11th  at 7:00 pm to punch a ticket to head to Class 4A State Softball Tournament.
