Tailgate party during RVTV's visit in Jefferson in 2013

Ahead of the upcoming Iowa and Iowa State football game, Jefferson will be one of the hosts for RVTV.

Jefferson Matters Events and Tourism Coordinator Molly Cunningham confirms to Raccoon Valley Radio the city of Jefferson is stop number two on the RVTV route on Tuesday, September 5th on the way to Ames where the Cy/Hawk game will take place at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday, September 9th. She says planning is already underway for the downtown tailgate party. She notes that all ideas are welcomed and to contact the Welcome Center to be included for the planning. Cunningham points out they hope to make this a great event and have the community show off their Cyclone and Hawkeye spirit.

The other stops on the RVTV route are Ankeny on Monday, September 4th, followed by Jefferson, then Manson, Humboldt, Nevada and Ames. This will be the first time since 2013 that RVTV has come back to Jefferson.
