A Pleasant Hill man was recently arrested for an alleged drug possession incident in Perry.
According to court documents, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an altercation on First Avenue in Perry at 8:10pm on Sunday. Upon arriving, the deputy realized that the suspect, 43-year-old Dustin Kelso, had fled the scene. The deputy then found Kelso on frontage road near the Burger King.While conducting a search Kelso admitted to having several drug related items such as methamphetamine, mushrooms and marijuana in his possession. Kelso was then transported from the Perry Police Department to the Dallas County Jail and upon arrival a makeshift edged weapon was found on Kelso.
Kelso was arrested and charged with two Class D Felonies for his third offense or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine and mushrooms, along with another Class D Felony for possession of contraband in a correctional facility.
In addition, Kelso was charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for the possession of a controlled substance marijuana.
Kelso was booked into Dallas County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
