Greene County lost a non-conference baseball game 5-1 to Carroll High on Friday night at Allenworth Field in Jefferson. The Rams fell to 2-17 while the Tigers improved to 4-18. The loss is the fifth straight for Kyle Stalder’s Rams.
Greene County lea 1-0 after one inning on an unearned run, but couldn’t solve winning pitch Dreylen Schweitzer. The Carroll senior tosses a three-hitter, with two walks, two batters hit with pitches, and six strikeouts in the seven inning complete game effort. The Tigers built the lead to three runs in the fourth inning and it stood up the rest of the way.
Offensively, the Rams have generally struggled. Three hits and one run in seven innings has been more common than the coaches and players would like to see
