Funeral services for John Summerson, age 92 of Perry, will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Masonic Lodge service held at 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Dallas Township Cemetery at Dawson, IA. In lieu of flower memorials are suggested to the John Summerson memorial fund for a bench and a tree on his favorite walking path in Wiese Park or to the Perry Food Pantry and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
