A reminder for Greene County youth that today and tomorrow are for certain livestock to get testing done prior to next month’s county fair.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says there is poultry pullorum and rabbit tattooing at the fairgrounds in Jefferson today from noon-5pm and tomorrow from 1-5pm. Rabbit tattooing is only for those 4-H and FFA’ers that will show their animal at the county fair, and poultry pullorum also include Clover Kids. 

Additionally, Hardaway notes that today is Clover Kids Day and it is designed to help any new or returning Clover Kids to work with their animal at the fairgrounds to get the animal used to being in that environment. You can check the list below to find out when each animal time slot will happen.

Animal schedules for Clover Kids

Cattle Kids: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM 

Birds and Bunnies: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM 

Little Lambs: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM 

Goat Kids: 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM 

Puppy Pack: 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
