The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board approved payroll change notices for Armond Harris with the Roads Department and Dillan Cooper and Joseph Laboy with the sheriff’s office. Cooper and Laboy finished their six month probationary period as jailers, and had their pay increased from $20 an hour to $21 an hour, while Harris changed job titles from mechanic to equipment operator, and had pay changed from $26.89 an hour to $25.75 an hour.

The Board then approved a contract with R&S Waste, and a contract for library services. The contract for the library services states yearly contribution to the libraries of Guthrie County from the Board. After some discussion, the contract will be reworded to state that a decision on contribution amount will be made by March 15th, and go into effect July 7th.

A Department of Natural Resources construction permit for Rose Acre Farms in Guthrie Center was also approved by the Board. There was some discussion about the hoop building to be built on the north side of the complex, as in previous years there have been chicken manure piles that have caused an issue with smell and flies, but it was mentioned in the permit that this new building would be used for housing said manure.

The Board then read an opening letter for the new Law Enforcement Center, and let the public know that the facilities had received approval from the state jail inspector and had opened for use last week.
