Overall champions with Greater Life Health and Wellness team
A fundraiser for an entity with the Greene County Medical Center saw a record turnout.
The Greene County Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament was held during the Bell Tower Festival on June 9th at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. There were 23 teams and 88 players, which raised over $17,000. Foundation Director Nancy Houska says this was from businesses, organizations, and individuals. The event also included doughnuts from the Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary volunteers and lunch was provided by Jefferson Hy-Vee.
The overall champion from the tournament was a team from Greater Life Health and Wellness with Michael Rossmanith, Chris Anderson, Collin Tjepkes and Ross Martens. Flight winners were Drees Company, Home State Bank and Midland Power. Hole prizes went to Brett Abbotts for men’s longest drive, Katie Roberts for women’s longest drive, Mike Owen with the longest putt, Chris Yeager was closest to the pin and Brett Abbotts also took home a Pit Boss grill in the practice green putting contest.
The Greene County Medical Center Foundation supports the medical center by supplementing the cost for services, equipment and programs.
