The West Central Valley Wildcats are back in action in both baseball and softball tonight as they take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks. Wildcats baseball is coming off a 3-2 loss on Friday night in their matchup on the road against the Creston Panthers. It was a pitcher’s duel through 3 innings as neither team could really muster up any offense. Creston finally got the bats rolling in the 4th as they put up two runs in the inning to take a 2-0 lead. West Central Valley would later tie the game in the top half of the 6th. But it wasn’t until the bottom of the 6th when the Panthers pulled ahead 3-2. Thomas Mikkelsen had 3 hits in the game for Creston along with 2 RBI’s. The Creston Panthers won and improved their record to 10-12 while West Central Valley dropped to 12-8. They will take on a 12-6 Woodward-Granger Hawks team tonight led by Brody Nardini who is leading the team in hits going into the game. First pitch will be at 7 PM.

West Central Valley softball will be on the diamond tonight as well against the Hawks. They are still coming off their 11-0 beatdown of Nodaway Valley on Wednesday. Tonight’s matchup should be another win for the Wildcats as Woodward-Granger has been struggling all season with a record of 2-13. That game slated for first pitch at 5:30 PM.
