With a long losing streak behind them, Greene County’s high school baseball team hosts Heart of Iowa Activities Conference leader West Marshall (State Center) tonight at Allensworth Field in Jefferson. The game will be broadcast at 7:30 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

The Trojans are 10-1 in the conference and 18-5 overall and already own one win this season vs. Greene County. The Rams are coming off a June 15 HOIAC doubleheader split vs. Roland-Story in Story City, winning 7-6, then losing 14-2. Coach Kyle Stalder’s team is 2-13 on the season and 1-9 in the HOIAC.

After tonight, the Rams host Manson-Northwest Webster on Tuesday, then play Perry on Wednesday in Rippey, and return home to Allensworth Field vs. Carroll High on Friday.
