A severe weather warning came through portions of the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area Saturday night.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning at 7:11pm for Adair and Guthrie Counties and then they issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Dallas County at 7:30pm. The primary threats were 60 mile per hour winds, thunder and radar-indicated penny-size hail in Menlo. The warning did expire at 8:06pm.

Emergency Management Assistant Coordinator for Adair and Guthrie Jeremy Cooper added that hail sized three-fourths in diameter was located between the City of Casey and Highway 25 and two inch in diameter hail was reported west of Stuart. Additionally, a semi truck was reported to have jack-knifed on Interstate-80 near Adair.
