The Iowa State University will make a couple of stops in Dallas County to get kids interacting with friends with six legs.
The ISU Insect Zoo will make a stop first at the Perry Public Library from 10 to 11:30 am on Tuesday, June 20th for a performance reading, followed by a hands-on workshop and a walk-through animal display with over 100 arthropods. They will also perform songs and dances. The event is free and open to the public with no registration needed.
Then the ISU Insect Zoo will make its way over the Adel Public Library from 1 to 2:30pm. Patron Services Manager Amy Puck explains everything that will go on at their program.
“The ISU extension will be here with their insect zoo, live insects as well as non live insects. And then some of their botany students will be here and they will have everything out for people to look at. It’s a hands-on experience that you can have, and this is open for all ages.”
Puck also notes that this program is free and no registration is required.
