The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.
The Council approved Iowa Retail Permit Applications for cigarettes/tobacco/nicotine/vapor for Casey’s General Store #92, Hometown Foods and Retro Lux Hair Salon and Dispensary. They also approved change order two for the Jackson Street project, deducting $3,588 from the contract by changing copper lines to PEX, and a resolution authorizing the closure of Highway 44 and other streets for Panorama Days.
The Council then approved a resolution allowing possession and consumption of canned alcoholic beverages in certain areas of the square during specific times during Panorama Days, and the contract purchase of a 2023 John Deere backhoe loader and trade in of the current 2006 John Deere backhoe loader.
