A memorial service for Dr. James E. Forbes, 78, of Jefferson, will be held at 10:30am Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jefferson, Iowa.  Following the service, the family will visit with friends during the luncheon at St. Joseph’s Parish Center.  Slining Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family.  

Survivors include his children: Milissa (Jeffrey) Banister of Oakley, CA; Christian Forbes of Monterey, CA: sister: Kathleen (Richard) Salmen of Naperville, IL; brother: Dr. David (Deborah) Forbes of Henry, IL; grandchildren: Faith, Noah, and Liberty Banister; other relatives and friends.
