The AC/GC Chargers were on the road once again last night, as they traveled to Pleasantville to take on the Trojans. The baseball team allowed 5 runs in the first inning and 1 in the second, then 8 in the fourth and another five in the fifth, falling in the first game 19-0. Noah Kading led the team in hits, with 1 hit and a 1.000 batting average. Keitn Kinney led in ERA and appearance with an ERA of 0, 1/3 of an inning pitched and 0 strikeouts. Jackson Pfrang led in strikeouts with an ERA of 9.55, 3 2/3 innings pitched and 2 strikeouts.
In their second game, the team allowed 1 run in the first, then collected 1 run in the second, and were outscored 5-1 in the third inning. The team allowed 2 runs in the fourth, then both the Chargers and Trojans collected a run a piece in the sixth inning, and AC/GC fell 9-3. Alex Spack led the team in hits, RBI’s and Strikeouts, with 1 hit, a .500 batting average, 1 RBI, an ERA of 7, 2 innings pitched and 3 strikeouts. Keitn Kinney led in ERA and appearances with an ERA of 0, 1 inning pitched and no strikeouts.
The softball team fell 6-1 in their first game, collecting and allowing 1 run in the first inning, then allowing 5 runs in the second inning and both teams kept the other scoreless the rest of the game. The team played a closer game in game 2, scoring 1 run and allowing 2 in the first inning, with both teams going scoreless in the second. The Chargers then picked up a run in the third to tie things up, and both teams were kept from scoring in the fourth inning. Both teams then scored 1 run in the fifth inning, and in the seventh and final inning, the Trojans were able to get the walkoff win, and the Chargers fell 4-3.
