The ADM Tigers softball team picked their 4th Raccoon River Conference win of this week when they defeated the Carroll Tigers 12-1 on the road in Carroll last night. The ADM Tigers got a eleven hits in the game. Here were there offensive leaders last night. Sophomore Madi James went 2-4 with two doubles and driving in two runs. Junior MaKayla Crannell went 3-5 with three singles. Senior Addison Banse went 1-3 and she got herself a 2-run home run and team leading 7th home run of the season. Freshman starting pitcher Lauren Hagedorn pitched all six inning for the ADM Tigers to improve her record to 3-3 on the season while striking out seven Carroll Tiger batters to give herself to 73 strikeouts on the season.
This win for the ADM Tigers softball team will put them at a overall record of 13-7 and 7-3 and this puts them into third place in currently in the Raccoon River Conference record on the season. Today, the ADM Tigers will play in Day 1 of Roland-Story softball tournament. In their first game today they will play Solon Spartans at 3:30 pm and in their second and final game on day 1 will be against the Perry Jayettes at 5:30 pm. On tomorrow the ADM Tigers will play two games in Day 2 of the Roland-Story Softball Tournament. In their first game tomorrow they will play Mount Vernon at 1:00 pm and they will play their second and final game of the day against Benton at 5:00 pm. The ADM Tigers will be playing in nine total possible games in six days this week.
