
The Dallas Center-Grimes baseball and softball teams take all four games in their doubleheader matchup with Oskaloosa on Wednesday.
The Mustang softball team run ruled the Indians in game 1 by a score of 12 to 0 in four innings and then run ruled them in game 2 by a score of 13 to 1. Junior Macee Reiling had a fabulous night driving in a total of 8 runs and she went 3-for-3 in game 1 with two home runs and in game 2 she went 1-for-2 with a home run. Both junior Aubrey Johansen and eighth grader Tessa Jones threw complete games and grabbed wins on the mound. Their on a six game winning streak and will take on Grinnell Friday at home for the 2003 state team recognition night.
Dallas Center-Grimes softball improves their conference record to (9-2) and overall record to (17-4).
The Mustang baseball found similar success sweeping the doubleheader against Oskaloosa. The first game final score was 12 to 3 and the second game final score was 6 to 0. Keaton Fenn and Dayne Mauk were both the winning pitchers on the mound. Now they have a conference record (8-3) and overall (14-5).
The baseball team is now on a four game winning streak and will take on Gilbert tonight for a single home game at 7:30pm.
