The Perry Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with multiple grocery stores to raise money for a special cause.

The “Fireworks Roundup Drive,” went on from May 22nd through 29th and allowed cashiers at both Perry Hy-Vee and Fareway to ask customers to round up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar or more to benefit Perry’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration. As a result, the Chamber was presented with a $200 check from Perry HyVee Manager Nate Brokaw and a $952 check from Perry Fareway Store Manager Travis Landgrebe.

Perry’s Annual 4th of July Celebration will begin at 10 am on July 4th with a parade on Willis Avenue, starting at East Perry Plaza with line-up at 9am . Vendors will be at the Pattee Park all day and there will be live music by Route 66 in the evening with fireworks following at 9:30pm.
