The Dallas Center-Grimes softball and baseball teams will take their respective fields for doubleheader action tonight.
The Mustang softball team is riding a four game winning streak as they face off against a conference opponent the Oskaloosa Indians. Dallas Center-Grimes sits in second place in the Little Hawkeye with a (7-2) while Oskaloosa remains towards the bottom with a (3-5) record. In game one of the doubleheader the starting pitcher will be junior Aubrey Johansen and she will be looking for her ninth win as a starter . Johansen has been dominant on the mound so far the fourth ERA in the conference at 2.53. Starting for the Mustangs in game 2 is 8th Grader Tessa Jones, who has an ERA of 1.91. The Mustangs will play at 5:30 and 7:30pm in the Burnett Sports Complex in Dallas Center.
The baseball will also take on the Oskaloosa Indians for a doubleheader. The Mustangs are in first place of the Little Hawkeye Conference and are on a two game winning streak, while the Indians are on a four game losing skid. The first game will start at 5:30 and the second will follow at 7:30pm in the Burnett Sports Complex in Dallas Center.
