West Marshall held off a late Perry rally Monday night, defeating the Jayettes 3-2 in Heart of Iowa softball action.  Perry trailed 3-2 entering the 7th inning and managed to get a pair of runners on base with Lydia Olejniczak coming to the plate with two outs.  However, the all stater never got to swing the bat as Perry was thrown out at third base trying to advance on a wild pitch.  Perry finished with four hits on the night.

The Jayettes fall to 7-5 and will travel to Roland Story Wednesday.
