The Perry School Board met on Monday.
The Board approved a 50-percent fee reduction for Perry’s Academic, Cultural, & Enrichment Services program for the summer PACES staff with children in the program for the summer of 2023. The Board agreed that this was an innovative decision to help attract parents with young children to work for PACES.
Additionally they approved a Grand View and Iowa State University student teaching agreement for the 2023-24 school year, to adopt Timberline Net High Academy for drop out students, second reading of a policy dealing with excempt meetings, Hiland to be the school districts dairy vendor and Pan O Gold as the bakery Vendor.
The School Board adopted the return-to-learn protocol and a transfer from the general fund to the student activity fund for protection equipment for 2023-24 in the amount of $952, the school district’s participation in the SAI Mentoring Program, safety . The Board tabled the Kids Zoom agreement for next school year which provides transportation service for special students who need to be transported to Winterset at the cost of $400 per day. The Board conclusively agreed to revisit this item in August due to the cost. .
