This weekend is the Inaugural Classic Car Show in Panora.

Joel Hester, one of the organizers for the event, says that the show will be Saturday from 11am to 2pm, and will include a strong list of some classic cars, including a 1971 Gran Torino GT Convertible, a ‘69 Chevelle, a ‘57 Chevy Coupe, a ‘56 Ford Parklane Station Wagon and a ‘66 GTO, along with some newer vehicles, like 2023 Chevrolet Corvette. He adds there will be a free will donation lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks and all proceeds will be used as a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s

Hester mentions that there is no registration fee for vehicles, as the organizers opted for a shine and show, and that local businesses have been amazingly generous with monetary and item donations, so there are several prizes that can be won. He explains that individuals can win those prizes through the raffle or as door prizes, and there will even be a grand prize as well. Hester says that they will be taking down numbers and emails as people come through, so the winners don’t need to be present to win either.

For some more information on the event, you can contact Hester by calling him at the number in this story online, or by messaging the event’s page on Facebook, which is also linked online.
