The Dallas County Conservation Board will have a late spring event to discover new birds traveling in the Dallas County area.

The “June Bird Hike,” will be from 8:30 to 10:30am on Saturday at Kuehn Conservation Area in Earlham. Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist encourages people to come out to this program because it will be drastically different from their other monthly bird hikes.

“It’s the same thing. But in June, you’re going to see perhaps some additional birds that you don’t see in May. So also the wildflowers are going to have a whole different set of flowers that are out, which means you’re going to see different kinds of things, different kinds of butterflies along with the birds. The point is to every month things change. So you can come out in April and have a very different experience than you would in June.”

This hike is free, but registration is required. Additionally, binoculars and informative books will be provided.
