The Dallas Center-Grimes baseball and softball teams both get road victories Monday night. 

The Mustang softball team defeated the Newton Cardinals by a score of 5  to 1. Junior Aubrey Johansen grabbed her 8th win on the rubber while striking out 8, giving up four hits and 1 earned run. Olivia Huston had 2 RBIs and Bella Mulder added an additional 2. 

The Mustang softball team is now (15-4) on the season with a (7-2) conference record. They will take on Oskaloosa tomorrow at home for a doubleheader. 

The baseball team also beat the Newton Cardinals by a score 7 to 1. Trevor Hamil stood tall on the hill pitching 6 innings, striking out 7 and not giving up a run. Clayton Campidilli collected 4 RBIs on 3 hits and Dayne Mauk and Ty Mikkelsen also had multiple hit games. The Mustang baseball team now stands at the top of the Little Hawkeye Standings with a (6-3) conference record and a season record of (12-5).

They will also take on Oskaloosa in a doubleheader in Dallas Center tomorrow. Raccoon VAlley Radio will have full coverage of game 2 on KDLS 94.3 99.7FM and 1310AM.
