The ADM Tigers baseball suffered a tough home loss 10-2 to the Gilbert Tigers in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup last night. ADM Tigers were only allowed eight hits in the game. The ADM Tiger were lead in hitting on the night by senior Nate Fisher where he went 2-3 with two singles and a run scored. Sophomore Grant Jansen went 2-3 with single and triple for his second triple of the season while getting one run batted in. Senior Ben Smith took the loss for the ADM Tigers as he pitched 4 and 2/3 of a inning while giving up seven hits on seven runs while only five of those runs were earned while striking out three Gilbert Tiger Batters in the loss. The ADM Tigers will be facing this same Gilbert Tigers team on Tuesday June 20th in Gilbert in a rematch in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup.
This loss for the ADM Tiger baseball team will put them at 14-6 overall record and 6-2 in Raccoon River Conference on the season. This is the second loss in a row for the ADM Tigers as they lost a tough road game 2-1 to Bishop Heelan on Saturday played in Fort Dodge. The ADM Tigers have the night off tonight for games. Tomorrow the ADM Tigers they will host Boone at the ADM High School Baseball Field in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup with a 7:30 pm first pitch. On Thursday June 15th they will travel to Carroll to take on the Carroll Tigers in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup with a 7:30 pm first pitch. On Saturday June 16th the ADM Tigers will play two games in a baseball varsity tournament in Glenwood. In their first game they will play the Glenwood Rams at 9:00 am and in their second and final game of the day they will play the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors at 11:00 am.
