The Stuart City Council will be holding a joint meeting with the Utilities Board before their regular meeting on Monday.

During the joint meeting which starts at 5pm, the Council and Board will discuss participation in the Wambold Project phase three, soccer complex improvements, and proposed irrigation meter. Then during their regular meeting, the Council will consider for approval outdoor liquor licenses for Johnie’s Tap and Ruby’s Pub and Grill for Good Egg Days. They will also hold a public hearing for the water system improvements project and hear an update from public works and emergency services on ash tree removal and estimated cost, a wages update and on speed cameras.

The Council will then enter a public hearing pertaining to an amendment for the urban renewal project, then consider for approval a resolution authorizing internal advance for funding of the urban renewal project, cigarette permits for fiscal year July 1st, 2023 to June 30th 2024. They will then hear an update on “Best of the Block” from Russ Wagner, consider change order one for the Safe Routes to School project in the amount of $25,699.82.

Also up for consideration Interstate “Stuart” Sign Landscaping with the downtown pocket park, then hear recommendations from the hotel and motel tax committee and an update from Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk. The Council will then hear concerns in regard to Wambold phase three from Dan Kuhl, and then hear well abandonment bids in regards to Wambold phase three, along with change order number one for the Tiernan Trail for $804,955.33.
