The Greene County Farmers Market is gearing up for its opening time of the season.

The first market will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm on Chestnut Street, just south of Lincoln Way on the southeast corner of the downtown square in Jefferson. Several vendors has registered for this year’s farmers market and some of those include fresh honey, wineries, canned and baked goods, along with tie-dye t-shirts and fresh, locally grown produce.

Additionally, there will also be a meal served of pork loin sandwiches, chips, water and a cookie. Anyone who wants to be a vendor during the weekly Greene County Farmers Market can contact organizer Jean Walker at 515-370-1905 or private message them on their Facebook page.
