The ADM Tigers softball got a 7-5 road win over the Carlisle Wildcats in Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup last night. The ADM Tigers also gave Carlisle their first loss of the season. The ADM Tigers girls had only eight hits in the game and seven of those were singles while the other hit was a grand slam hit by sophomore Madi James in the top of the 5th inning for her only hit of the night. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn went 2-4 with two singles while senior Brylee Person went 2-3 with two singles with two runs batted in. Junior MaKayla Crannell went 1-4 with a single. Senior Addison Banse went 1-3 with a single and drove in a run while freshman Ellis Smith went 1-3 with a single.  Senior Cameran Smith pitched six solid innings while giving up five runs with two of them being earned runs, while giving up five hits and striking out three Carlisle batters on 125 pitches on the night. Then in the bottom of the seventh inning freshman Lauren Hagedorn came into to relieve Cameran Smith while she allowed one hit while striking out two Carlisle batters to get the job done for the ADM Tigers.

This win for the ADM Tigers Softball team will put them at 6-6 overall record and 3-3 record in the Raccoon River Conference record on the season. Today they will play two games in Day 1 at the Denny Johnson Classic in North Polk Softball Field. In their first game they will play Dubuque Senior Rams at 1:40 pm, then they will play their second game against North Scott at 5:30 pm. Then on Saturday June 10th they will play in day 2 of the Denny Johnson Classic at the North Scott Softball Field. They will play their first game against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons at 9:00 am and they will play their second and final game of the day against Bettendorf Bulldogs at 10:45 am.
