Perry Baseball Wins on Walk Off Against Nevada

Perry picked up their third conference win of the season Wednesday night defeating Nevada 4-3 in Heart of Iowa action at Progressive Field.  After Nevada tied the game in the top of the 7th inning, Perry managed to load the bases in the bottom of the frame on three walks.  After a Fausto Beato pop out, Kain Killmer hit a one out ground ball to a drawn in infield, and the throw home was wild, allowing Drake Levan to score giving Perry the exciting victory.

Levan earned the win on the mound, pitching five solid innings allowing three hits and only one earned run.  He improves to 1-3 on the season.  Beato led the offense with two of Perry’s six hits.  The Bluejay defense was exceptional playing error free baseball while Nevada committed five costly mistakes in the field leading to three unearned runs.

Perry improves to 4-8, 3-4 and will host South Hamilton Friday night.  Nevada falls to 4-6.   Official box score.
