Jefferson and surrounding residents are being asked to help once again with clean up efforts at the two cemeteries in town.
After the Memorial Day holiday, Public Works Director Dave Morlan says from June 12th-16th is another cleanup week at the Jefferson Municipal Cemetery and the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
“If everybody could just go out and clean up around the site where they got anything they want to save, have it in the (permanent) vases where it needs to be. Otherwise the guys will clean it up and it’ll get thrown away, probably.”
Morlan appreciates everyone’s cooperation with this as a way to keep the cemeteries looking nice for the rest of the year.
