The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be having a fun food related event coming up.
Extension K-12 Coordinator Megan McBride says that the “Pinch of Family Flavor” program will have a few different topics and exercises it goes over, and tells Raccoon Valley Radio what those will be.
“We’ll be doing a cheesy chicken casserole and then chocolate chip zucchini muffins. And you’ll get to kind of create the meal, and then you can take it home to your family. You’ll learn about our Spend Smart Eat Smart resource, as well as kind of meal planning and shopping on a budget.”
McBride mentions that the class will be held at 5:30pm on June 14th at the Extension Office. Pre-registration is required, and the class will cost $10. To get registered, just call the office at 641-747-2276.
