There are two former Perry Volunteer Firefighters facing alleged theft charges.
According to a City of Perry press release, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against Aimee Bane for theft in the second degree and a non felonious misconduct in office and Chris Hinds faces a charge of non felonious misconduct in office.
The report shows that an internal audit discovered suspicious charges on the City’s fleet fuel card assigned to the fire department and it was verified by the Perry Police Department, and then turned over to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation showed that a City of Perry fuel card was used to purchase gas for personal use in the amount of $3,000. The two members of the Perry Fire Department were immediately placed on administrative leave.
