The Menlo Public Library has several fun events lined up for the month.

The library will be closed on Mondays and Fridays, but has plenty of cool interesting events set up for the other days. On Tuesdays, there will be a 10am toddler time, with other fun afternoon activities, including a nature activity at 1pm this Tuesday with Iowa Department of Natural Resources Interpretive Naturalist and Educator Anne Riordan.

She says that with the summer reading program theme of “Find Your Voice” that libraries are doing this year, she decided to go with a theme of finding things, adding that there will be a game where children will pretend to be birds and have to find the other person making the same bird call as themselves, use their sense of touch to find an item assigned to them after becoming blindfolded, and then play a game where they create new animals, then play a fun version of hide and seek where they hide where they can see Riordan, and she has to find them.

Wednesdays will have a 10am class with the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and a 3pm kids book club, while the last two Thursdays will have some fun afternoon activities.
