The Chargers were in action last night, as the softball team made up their game against the Ogden Bulldogs that was rained out earlier in the week. The Chargers started off a little slow early on, going scoreless in the first two innings, and allowing 3 runs in the first, but things changed from there. AC/GC collected three runs in the top of the 3rd to tie things up, and then continued scoring from there. Both teams collected 1 run in the 4th inning, and the Chargers grabbed one run in each of the 5th and 6th innings, then finished things up by bringing in 2 runs in the 7th, taking the game 8-4.

The play of the game came in the bottom of the 6th, when a ball was hit to Mersadez Richter at the shortstop position. Richter picked the ball up off the ground and threw it to Carly Fagan who was the first baseman, and it looked like it might fall short, but Fagan dropped into a perfect split, allowing her to extend just far enough to catch the throw and keep a foot on the base.
