The ADM varsity girls softball team picked up a 11-3 non-conference win over the Van Meter Bulldogs last night. Junior Kaylee Smith got the offense going when she hit her first home run of the season when she hit the fair side of the right field foul pole. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn led the ADM Tigers in hits tonight going 3-4 with three singles and driving in four runs while her teammate Junior Kaylee Smith went 2-4 with solo home run and a single. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn started her second game in a row for the ADM Tigers and got the win with only allowing two hits on three runs with only one of those was a earned run with striking out six Van Meter batters. Junior Cameran Smith came closed out the game for the ADM Tiger when she made the Van Meter Bulldogs go three up and three down in the 6th and 7th inning to secure the win for the ADM Tigers.
This win for the ADM varsity girls softball team will put them at a overall record of 5-4 and 2-1 in Raccoon River conference record. They will have the weekend off to rest up for their busy schedule for next week. Their next game will be on Monday June 5th at Bondurant-Farrar with a first pitch at 7:30 pm. Also another reminder their game that postponed this Thursday June 1st at home against Ballard has now been rescheduled to Tuesday June 13th in Adel, all depending on Officials availability for the game.
